GINGER SESAME THAI
Ginger Sesame Thai is a taste unlike any other. So don't let the name scare you. When people taste this sauce they are pleasantly surprised. It is very flavourable with just a hint of ginger, and not at all hot. It has innumerable uses that are shared below.
STIR FRYS - The Thai sauce is wonderful in stir frys with any kind of domestic or wild meat, poultry, vegetables, pasta or rice. Cut the meat into cubes or strips and cook in frying pan or wok with water. When the meat is tender and cooked, remove from pan and set aside. Cut up a variety of vegetables, or if you are a bit rushed, purchase the prepackaged cut up stirfry veggies. Wash vegetables then place in wok with a little water. Steam them with lid on for about 3-4 minutes until the colors deepen. Don't overcook; they should be crisp with somewhat of a bone in them. Drain excess water, add meat or poultry and pour Thai sauce over top. Toss vegetables and meat. Be generous with the sauce, or if you prefer a "hint" of flavour, use less. Mix and heat for an additional minute or two. To serve, pour stirfry over rice, fettucine, linguine or spagetti or your favourite pasta or rice. It will make for a wonderful presentation that anyone would be impressed with.
The taste will be outstanding!! A personal favourite of our family.
SALAD DRESSING - Add 1/4 cup of Thai sauce to 2 cups of plain yogurt and use on tossed salad.
- Oriental Salad - Shred cabbage, lettuce
and carrots. Add dry noodles and use Thai sauce straight up!
Pour on a generous amount and toss salad. This is the absolute in taste and easy, too.
RICE - Serving plain old rice tonight? Why not top it off with an absolutely wonderful taste. Put Gordo's Ginger Sesame Thai on the table and pour it over the rice. What an added gourmet taste!
MEAT MARINADE - Gordo's Ginger Sesame Thai can also be used as a meat marinade. Use on chicken wings, chicken breasts, souvlaki. Bake in the oven with it, baste with it, broil with it or barbeque with it.
- Baked chicken - Cut up chicken pieces and pour sauce over top. Bake in oven at 350 degrees F. until done. Baste occasionally to ensure that each piece is covered in sauce. You may add sauce when you take it out to serve. Serve chicken pieces on rice with pineapple wedges.
- Chicken wings - Deep fry or bake wings in oven until crisp.
Remove from oven and toss with Ginger Sesame Thai Sauce.
- Lorenzo's Egg Rolls - A personal favourite of ours! Use Gordo's Ginger Sesame Thai as a dipping sauce for egg rolls or fondues.
- Ginger Sesame Thai is great for making Ginger Beef. Cut up beef into strips and stirfry. Add onion rings and cook until clear. Toss with sauce before serving over rice or vermicelli noodles. For a hotter spicier taste, add a tablespoon of Gordo's Pepper sauce as well.
Try this sauce on fish, ribs or any seafood. Cook with it or dip in it. It is simply delicious!
