TERIYAKI SAUCE
Gordo's Teriyaki sauce is rather unique. Not only because of it's fresh oriental taste, but because of the thickness as well. It has very good clinging appeal. Use it on any meat or vegetable. Our family uses this sauce extensively on chicken. It works extremely well on chicken wings, chicken breasts or even a whole chicken. Use it in stir frys, on steaks, porkchops and hamburgers. Cook with it or use it as a dipping sauce. It is even great on mushrooms.
Mushrooms: Wash and slice mushrooms. Place them in a frying pan with a small amount of butter. Add crushed garlic and sauté. When almost done (don't over cook) pour over Teriyaki sauce. What an added touch to your New York or Top Sirloin steak.
Hamburgers: When making up fresh hamburgers, add a few tablespoons of Gordo's Teriyaki sauce before making them up into patties. Cook hamburgers then add a touch of sauce before serving.
Steak: Marinate steak in Teriyaki sauce for up to 24 hours.
Broil or barbeque steak until cooked to preference and top with mushrooms.
Stirfry and Noodles: Whatever the meat, prepare as suggested in previous sauce suggestions. Add vegetables and cook until tender. Toss with Teriyaki sauce. For added enjoyment add dry noodles. Use snow peas, baby corn and beansprouts to achieve the ultimate oriental dish.
Oriental Salad: As mentioned before, Gordo's sauces are great as salad dressings. This one is especially good for making an oriental salad. Use Teriyaki sauce to top. What a fantastic taste!
Fondues: Because Gordo's Sauces are good for any types of meats, they are the perfect dipping sauces. Whether you use chicken, beef, pork, seafood, etc., Gordo's will work for you.
Noodles: Spice up those noodles. Want a different taste? Run out of spaghetti sauce? Well, try a bit of Teriyaki sauce. Cook noodles as directed on package. Drain and pour Teriyaki over top. Toss noodles. Sprinkle with diced peppers, mushrooms, or nuts. A real change and a pleasant surprise.
Meatballs: Use a small amount of Teriyaki when preparing your meatballs, then cover with sauce before baking. Serve on a bed of rice with green and red pepper strips. A pleasing presentation and a gourmet taste to meatballs.
For the vegetarian: Stir fry vegetables in water: use cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, zucchini, bok choy, snow peas, baby corn and bean sprouts. Just prior to serving throw in a handful of cashews or peanuts and some sesame seeds. Pour in Teriyaki sauce and toss until all vegetables and nuts are covered. Serve on a bed of rice. A real delight!
